This is a staple in so many of my recipes. It makes a large batch and sits well in the fridge for long periods of time so you don’t need to make it fresh every time. You can also keep half in the fridge and freeze the other half, it tastes exactly the same when thawed and used. This masala is more like a paste and it is full of fresh, antioxidant rich ingredients blended together that gives so many desi recipes the perfect taste.
Ingredients
- 1 lb green chili peppers (Serrano or Jalapeno are good options)
- 1 lb peeled garlic cloves
- 1 bunch cilantro
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash and cut off stems of all ingredients
- Throw everything into a chopper or blender and mix until smooth
- Place in an air tight container and put in the fridge or freezer. Use as needed
