Nihari Pasta

Nihari Pasta, part 1 of my series on what to do with leftover Nihari. Whether you make your own, get it from an Aunty’s party, or from the restaurant, you know you will have leftovers because it’s made in such large batches. One option is to freeze leftovers and enjoy on a later day but this Nihari Pasta is a fantastic way to use up leftover nihari and sneak in some vegetables into your meal (if you desire). If you’re making this for your kids, the secret ingredient here is bbq sauce! The sweet and spicy flavors blend perfectly and also do a beautiful job of reducing the heat to make it a kid friendly meal.

Ingredients:
Nihari
8 oz elbow mac
Vegetables of your choice
2 tbsp bbq sauce
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Heat leftover nihari in a pan
Sauté vegetables in the nihari until soft
Add bbq sauce and Parmesan
Add in pasta and serve immediately
Enjoy 🫶🏽
